About the Role:
As the Regional Manager for Youth, Sport, and Recreation at Barkly Regional Council, you will play a critical role in shaping the direction and impact of our community services. This position is integral to the Community Services Directorate, where you will provide high-level operational and strategic support to the Director of Community Services. Your leadership will guide a diverse team and ensure the effective delivery of programs designed to empower our youth.
You will oversee key initiatives such as Youth, Sports & Recreation (YSR), Outside School Hours Care (OSHC), YouthLinx, and the Tennant Creek Youth Centre (TCYC). Your responsibilities will include managing staffing, coordinating program activities, and ensuring compliance with funding requirements, all while fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for both staff and program participants.
Collaboration will be a cornerstone of your role. You will engage with a variety of stakeholders, including local organisations, schools, and families, to promote active community participation and create programs that resonate with the needs of our youth. Your strategic mindset will help you identify opportunities for growth and improvement, ensuring that our services remain aligned with community priorities and funding objectives.
