The Opportunity

We work collaboratively across various business operations to implement and enhance the Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OHSMS), ensuring both physical and psychological well-being for all employees. At the heart of our mission is a focus on continuous improvement, stakeholder engagement, and proactive safety measures.

As a Safety and Wellbeing Officer, you will play a key role in the ongoing development and delivery of the OHSMS. You will support a wide range of safety initiatives, including workers' compensation programs, general insurance administration, and safety audits. This is a great opportunity to make a real impact on health and safety outcomes, supporting employees across various teams and functions.

What You'll Do

  • Provide up-to-date advice on OHSMS development and implementation
  • Support stakeholders with risk assessments, safety documentation, and safety initiatives
  • Assist in incident investigations and compliance monitoring
  • Aid with the administration of workers' compensation and general insurance matters
  • Provide hands-on support and guidance to employees, including those in the field
  • Help stakeholders engage in safety inspections, audits, and meetings
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of OHS systems and processes

What We Are Looking For

  • Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety (or willingness to obtain it)
  • Strong knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 and related regulations
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
  • Proficiency in computer programs and data entry for OHS reporting
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to safety
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a dynamic team
