Senior Rates Officer

The City of Karratha is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Rates Officer to join our team on a permanent fulltime basis.

This senior role is integral to ensuring the efficient and accurate management of
property-based income, debt recovery, and compliance with local government legislation.

The Senior Rates Officer is responsible for managing the City’s rating system, overseeing debt collection for rates and Pilbara Underground Power (PUPP), and ensuring compliance with the Local Government Act 1995. The role involves leading the Rates team, implementing policies, and overseeing the
City’s transition to a new ERP system.

• Business Administration or equivalent qualification (desirable).
• Extensive experience in rates or finance, preferably within local government.
• Demonstrated experience in debt collection and financial reconciliation.
• Current WA C Class driver’s license, recent Police Certificate and Unrestricted working rights in Australia
