You will support the delivery of City of Port Phillip’s Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Program. 

Reporting to the Senior Sustainability and Climate Change Officer, a key focus of your role will be to coordinate the delivery of the Private Electric Vehicle Charging model for Council. 

You will provide a high level of project management/ delivery skills and, work collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders to deliver Council’s objectives and support Port Phillip community in their transition to electric vehicles.

What you might do 

  • Undertake the role of project lead (or project team member) to deliver the private EV charging project.
  • Develop and maintain external partnerships to improve sustainability outcomes, with a focus on electric vehicle charging.
  • Identify, mitigate, and resolve project related issues.
  • Identify new innovations and technologies for EV charging, and relevant planning requirements to achieve project objectives.
  • Work collaboratively across the organisation to deliver the private EV charging project and its objectives.
  • Actively contribute to a culture of professional practice focused on customer service and value for the community.

Who we are looking for 

  • Tertiary Degree in sustainability, engineering, or similar.
  • Relevant experience or lesser formal qualifications in sustainability, transport engineering or related discipline.
  • Excellent skills in project management and project delivery.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and excellent stakeholder management skills.
