What You’ll Do:
As an Apprentice Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, you’ll:
Work alongside seasoned mechanics to perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs
Gain hands-on experience with engines, transmissions, braking systems, and more
Learn to use state-of-the-art tools and diagnostic equipment
Assist in ensuring vehicles are safe, reliable, and roadworthy
Attend technical training sessions at TAFE to enhance your knowledge and skills
Rotate to an external mechanic in your 4th year to gain additional skills

A genuine passion for mechanics and problem-solving
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work
A team player with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn
Basic mechanical knowledge or experience (preferred but not essential)
A valid driver’s licence or willingness to obtain one
