Water & Wastewater Treatment Plant – Traineeships

Leeton Shire Council, as part of the NSW Fresh Start Program, is now recruiting Trainees to join their Water & Wastewater team in the above-mentioned positions. This is an opportunity to work and earn in a water industry specialised area whilst completing the Certificate III in Water Industry Operations, commencing in early 2025.

Applicants will need to:

• Meet the requirements to enrol in Certificate III in Water Industry Operations
• Possess a friendly personality with solid interpersonal skills
• Be responsible and willing to learn
• Be able to work as part of a team

Salary & Conditions

• The position is classified from T4 in Leeton Shire Council’s salary system (salary range from $803.30 per week) to be negotiated depending on age and any relevant experience plus 11.5% superannuation.
• Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award.
• Prior to commencement, the successful applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment Functional Assessment and Alcohol & Other Drug screening.
• It is a requirement on commencement to provide evidence of Covid vaccinations.
