Council is seeking a suitably qualified applicant to fill the permanent part-time role of Civic Centre Functions Officer.

Entering an exciting new phase in event delivery, the Civic Centre is a multi-purpose facility that offers state of the art technology, services and functionality and attracts visiting shows, conferences, meetings and events. The Civic Centre team plays a pivotal role in ensuring the continued growth trend in events in the Broken Hill community.

Job Description

Reporting directly to the Civic Centre Coordinator, you will provide operational support at the Civic Centre to ensure the success of meetings, conference and event activities, performing arts customers and community bookings. 

We are seeking suitable applicants who have a thorough understanding and knowledge in, but not limited to planning bookings, cash handling and graphic design. You will have mature and proactive communication skills, demonstrated experience in delivering all aspects of multiple events and a strong attention to detail in tight timeframes.   The successful candidate will be proficient in the use of computer software, be a supportive team member, have a proven ability to independently manage their workflow and take a proactive approach to their work.
