ABOUT US
Liverpool is a vibrant city that lies in the heart of Greater Western Sydney. Working with Liverpool City Council offers a wealth of professional opportunities. Liverpool is a diverse and innovative Council located at the gateway to the upcoming Western Sydney Airport. Liverpool is fast becoming Sydney’s third CBD and is going through rapid change and growth, with nearly 100 new residents arriving every week. If great community outcomes are to be realised, Liverpool requires the best minds to realise this opportunity.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Council’s Operations Team is at the forefront of building and maintaining our new city. We are now seeking a dynamic individual to support community engagement in the Operations Directorate and the Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program (WSIGP) team.
Community Engagement is critical to Council’s relationship with the community and is a requirement of the Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program.
As a result of the Program, Council will deliver six transformative city-shaping projects over the next three years, worth more than $150 million. The projects will be delivered by the WSIGP Project Delivery team, which comprises staff dedicated to driving excellence and creating the leading project delivery team in NSW local government.
ABOUT YOU
The Operations team delivers critical services and infrastructure projects across the LGA and requires community engagement to ensure community expectations are managed and positive messages are developed and communicated, whether in writing or in person.
This new role will be dedicated to WSIGP and Operations, supporting the WSIGP Community Engagement Officer to manage meaningful and comprehensive engagement to ensure the community is informed and has opportunities for collaboration. If you show initiative, understand audiences, community, can follow direction and can produce creative and on-brand communications and design elements, then you’ll be perfect for this role. In return you will have the opportunity to learn the intricacies of communications and about the many functions within a fast-moving infrastructure delivery team, in a local government setting.
BENEFITS OF WORKING WITH US
Salary will be dependent upon the relevant skills, experience, and competencies of the successful applicant.
