Compliance Support Officer - Ranger Services

About the opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for someone to join the Ranger Services team. The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting with property inspections regarding fire hazard assessments; supporting with managing camping compliance; along with a number of other compliance enforcement matters. 

Primary functions of the position are:

• Drive a 4WD vehicle to assist Fire Control Officers to undertake inspections
• Support Fire Control Officers by making observations and measure, assess and photograph fire hazards
• Working with the authorised Fire Control Officers in a proactive manner to ensure the efficient conduct of annual fire break inspections
• Drive a 4WD vehicle to assist Rangers to undertake patrols of parks, reserves, public places and some private property for illegal camping
• Support Rangers in undertaking Community Patrolling for community safety.

• Non-Continuing - Full Time, December - April, (76 hours/fortnight)
• EA Level 3 ($66,515 - $73,439 per annum pro-rata)

The successful candidate will have:

• Teamworking abilities
• Confident driving a 4x4 vehicle in varied terrain
• Ability to promote positive customer interactions through developed written and verbal communication skills
• Flexibility to start early and work on weekends.
