This role heads Council’s Cultural Development team, projects and programming within the Arts and Culture Service. It delivers a diverse range of strategic initiatives that support local artists, creative people, civic enhancements, and cultural partnerships. It requires a multi skilled flexible approach within a small multi-disciplinary team environment. It interacts regularly with a wide-range of external stakeholders. The role maintains and develops stakeholder relationships, prepares and administers grant funding and develops public programming based on Council’s Creative Strategy. The Coordinator works in collaboration with the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre, Braemar Gallery and Theatre and Community Hub.

Council is looking for a candidate with tertiary qualification/equivalent experience in arts programming and an understanding of the local creative sector. You will be a collaborative team leader with project management expertise, arts administration skills and creative placemaking with the ability to support artists, producers, and organisations.

Remuneration: base salary commencing at $93,634 gross per annum
  + 11.5% superannuation 
  + performance payment 1% - 3.5% annual salary (if eligible) 
  + annual award increase
