Part TimeMansfield Shire Council is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and community focused individual to take up the role of Domestic Wastewater Management Officer. The successful candidate will be assisting in implementing Council’s Domestic Wastewater Management Plan (DWMP) actions including the completion of assessments of and engaging with owners of existing domestic onsite wastewater management systems to ensure compliance with relevant statutory requirements and the review and processing of applications and planning referrals for new septic systems.
Reporting to Environmental Health Officer, the Domestic Wastewater Management Officer’s responsibilities include protecting the health of the public, natural environment and amenity of the municipality by promoting public and environment health best practice in the management of domestic wastewater, working cohesively as part of the Community Safety Department by operating in an efficient and consistent manner and providing support to staff to meet delivery of the Department’s programs.
Remuneration will be based on Band 6A classification $84,615.18 (pro rata) per annum ($42.8214 per hour) plus superannuation according to the Mansfield Shire Council Enterprise Agreement 2022.
