Council is seeking a suitably qualified applicant to fill the permanent full-time role of Economic Development Officer.
Reporting directly to the Manager Communications & Marketing, you will play a pivotal role in the proactive identification and effective response to grant funding and economic development opportunities; including those associated with Central Business District revitalisation projects, film, events and tourism.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills. The role requires the applicant to identify funding/sponsorship opportunities for organisational projects, coordinate and/or develop applications, monitor project milestones and report progress to funding bodies. It would be favourable for the successful candidate to have relevant work experience across Grants submissions, State, Commonwealth and private sector funding programs, executive briefings and report writing however this isn’t mandatory where you can demonstrate outstanding administration capability.
