About the role:

Council is seeking an application from an enthusiastic, experienced and suitably qualified person to join our team as Emergency Management Coordinator.

Joining the Community Services team you will lead the delivery of a range of emergency management functions including compliance with legislative responsibilities, community education and staff training and development.  We are seeking someone who can lead and develop Council’s emergency management functions, enjoys working in a collaborative environment and can successfully navigate accreditation processes.

This is a permanent part-time position, 4 days per week, based at our Wedderburn office, with flexible working arrangements available.

Band 7 salary range $97,998.75 - $108,878.11 pro-rata per annum plus employer superannuation.

About you:

The successful candidate will have:

  • qualifications and/or extensive experience in emergency and risk management related disciplines
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to actively engage and collaborate with community members, colleagues and other agencies
  • experience in the development and implementation of plans, with experience in an accreditation or assurance process an advantage
  • the ability to lead, develop and coordinate staff.
