Governance & Compliance Service is seeking a highly motivated team player in who will take an active role in organisational governance, compliance, and transparency. Hybrid working is available for the right candidate. This role involves working within a small team of specialists who manage applications for Council-held information under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009, as well as, working in policy development, legislative compliance, and privacy. Training is available for candidates that can demonstrate they have the transferrable skills required to excel in this position.
The successful applicant will be experienced in administration, customer service, negotiation, and complaint handling. They will have a high attention to detail, be computer literate, adaptable to changing priorities, and have research and analytical skills, including demonstrated ability to apply legislation. Strong time management skills are essential, as is the ability to prepare and review complex documents and reports.
Essential criteriaApplicants should address the below essential criteria as part of their applications
• -Degree or equivalent extensive business experience
• -High level experience in business administration including ability to manage time and adapt to changing priorities
• -Customer service including compliant handling and negotiation
• -Written communication including ability to prepare reports and correspondence requiring attention to detail and accuracy
• -Research and critical thinking including ability to analyse data and interpret information
• -Ability to work independently as well as within a team
• -Computer literacy
Remuneration: base salary commencing at $86,547 gross per annum
+ 11.5% superannuation
+ performance payment 1% - 3.5% annual salary
+ annual award increase
