Permanent Part Time (21 hours per week)  

The role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a positive and friendly individual with a passion for customer services to join the Upper Hunter team. Our Customer Service Officers are the first point of contact for customers and interact via telephone and face-to-face with residents, local businesses and others, relating to a wide range of council functions, facilities and services. You will join a friendly and supportive team of dedicated professionals who are committed to making a positive impact on our community. The position involves  undertaking cashiering and receipting duties daily plus the registration and recording of customer requests and bookings.

-$1178.50 to $1319.90 per 35 hour week + 11.5% super and the opportunity for salary progression
-20 days paid annual leave every year and a flexi-time system with the ability to accrue 1 flexi day every 3 weeks (per 35 hour week, calculated pre-rata)

What we need from you: 
- Proven experience in a similar customer focused role
- Excellent customer services skills and experience in dealing with a broad range of customers and enquiries
- A high standard of communication and personal presentation skills that present a favourable image of Council
- A friendly, professional attitude with a focus on first point of contact resolution
- Well-developed computer and administration skills
- High attention to detail.
