The Opportunity

The Rural City of Wangaratta (RCoW) is seeking a dedicated Project Officer for a 12-month contract to support the Delivery and Contracts team within the Infrastructure Planning and Delivery Department.

In this role, you will support Project Managers on all aspects of project delivery and contract management for the Council's Capital Works program. You’ll provide essential administrative support to implement and monitor the program in line with established project management methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the coordination and reporting of the Capital Works projects, ensuring compliance with our Integrated Project Management framework.
  • Provide administrative support in implementing the program and assist with monitoring and reporting on its progress.
  • Conduct research, prepare reports, and create presentations as needed.
  • Identify and address issues that impact project delivery.
  • Support budget development and monitoring processes.
  • Maintain accurate and current project information on the Council’s website.
  • Assist with the administration of grants and community planning programs.
