The role

Key responsibilities undertaken by the Records Management Coordinator include:

  • Ensure records management activities support the strategic objectives outlined in the Council Plan and other organisational strategies and plans
  • Promote a culture of best practice and continuous improvement in records management within the workplace
  • Respond to and follow up user enquiries to facilitate prompt resolution and excellent customer service
  • Maintain the Business Classification Scheme (BCS) to facilitate accurate classification and registration of incoming and outgoing correspondence
  • Assist with further enhancements and maintenance of Council’s corporate records management system, including system maintenance, future development and provision of ‘on-the-job’ staff training

Our ideal candidate

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • relevant experience and qualifications
  • experience in records and/or archives management, preferably in Local Government
  • experience in supervising and training staff
  • a current Victorian Driver’s licence is essential
