The Opportunity
We're looking for a Senior GIS Officer to help lead our geospatial services and play a pivotal role in supporting Council's diverse spatial data needs. This is an exciting opportunity to manage cutting-edge GIS projects and deliver high-quality solutions that drive informed decision-making and community impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage Council's GIS databases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.
  • Oversee the integration of spatial and aspatial databases, including property, cadastral, and asset data.
  • Ensure the continuous improvement and implementation of GIS software applications.
  • Provide expert GIS support across Council projects, including spatial analysis, data modelling, and map production.
  • Present geospatial reports and insights to inform Council decisions and strategies.

About You:

  • Tertiary qualifications in spatial sciences or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in a GIS-related role with proficiency in GIS software.
  • Solid understanding of asset management principles.
  • Experience working with property system application software and Microsoft SQL.
  • A passion for delivering innovative solutions and contributing to meaningful projects.
