The role:

You will play a key role in the exciting and unique journey of organisational transformation and support the City of Salisbury’s transition into a new record management system, administering all record management activities within local government.

With a strong focus on customer service, the role will assist driving innovative ways of working, operational efficiencies and compliance with the State Records Act 1997.

The Senior Information Assets Officer is part of the Governance Division and will see you multi-tasking in a fast paced environment, drawing on your customer services skills and experience to deliver organisational understanding and compliance in record management.

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong customer service capability
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build positive working relationships
  • Confident communicator, particularly in presentation, knowledge sharing/training and consultation
  • Focus on continuous improvement supported by systems and processes
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Skilled in records management/archiving and practical knowledge of an Electronic Document Records Management System
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of information, records, document and data management and workflow management
  • Qualifications in Records Management/Archives (or working towards)
  • Demonstrated understanding of the State Records Act 1997 and records’ lifecycle
