The Surf Coast Shire Council oversees the picturesque region of Surf Coast Shire in Victoria, Australia. Responsible for a variety of crucial functions, Council ensures the well-being and prosperity of its residents and businesses. This includes upholding local laws and regulations, managing essential infrastructure like roads and parks, and providing vital community services such as family and youth programs. Council plays a pivotal role in planning and development, guiding sustainable growth while preserving the region's natural beauty. We actively support economic development initiatives, fostering local businesses and promoting tourism to stimulate the local economy.
This role sits within the Road Strategy team within Council’s Assets and Engineering Department.
The role is focused on the expansion and upgrade of Council’s asset base particularly, but not limited to, roads and pathways. The role is tasked with managing infrastructure upgrades identified within Council’s Development Contribution Plans, assessing requests for road and pathway upgrades, managing delivery of road and pathway assets through Special Charge Schemes.
