About the Opportunity

This role supports the Works Team by managing supplier relationships, responding to customer enquiries, and maintaining accurate records. The Stores Officer will continuously improve work practices, maintain essential stock levels, and contribute to operational and performance reporting, ensuring all activities align with Council policies and procedures.

What you need to be successful:

  • Minimum Certificate III in Warehouse or Stores Management or experience in a similar role
  • Forklift licence
  • Excellent computer literacy skills especially Microsoft Office
  • A thorough understanding of purchasing procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Experience in CM9 or similar record keeping software.
  • Sound time management skills
  • Ability to foster positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Purchasing/Procurement training
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • Working with Children’s Check NSW
  • National Police Check (or Willing to obtain)
  • Pre-employment Medical (or Willing to obtain)
  • Chain of Responsibility Training (or Willing to obtain)

Desirable

  • Experience in Local Government
  • Prepared to undertake further studies to gain qualifications
  • Technology One experience
