We are seeking an enthusiastic and collaborative Talent & Resourcing Officer to join our HR Services team.
As one of the region’s largest employers, Cairns Regional Councils diverse workforce delivers more than 400 services and programs to the community. As a Talent & Resourcing Officer, you’ll play an important role in supporting hiring
managers and the organisation to attract and source our most important resource – our people!
Key Responsibilities:
• Recruitment & Talent Acquisition: Manage end-to-end recruitment processes and support hiring managers in identifying solutions for attracting, sourcing, and selecting qualified candidates to meet the staffing needs of Council.
• Customer Service & Systems Support: Serve as a point of contact for employee and applicant enquiries regarding recruitment processes and system support ensuring a positive experience and promoting a ‘here to help’ attitude.
• Policy & Procedure Support: Assist in providing guidance and support to customer enquiries relating to recruitment processes, HR policies and procedures.
• Document Preparation & Data Base Administration: Prepare documents relating to the employment lifecycle, as per Council EBA, Awards and policies under the guidance of HR Management. Word processing, data entry and
data base administration relating employment and organisational management records.
Qualifications:
• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, such as Certificate IV Human Resources or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience in recruitment, human resources, or a related role.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to build rapport with a diverse range or stakeholders.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Proven organisational skills and attention to detail.
• High level of computer skills encompassing Microsoft Suite and Human Resources Information Systems.
