The role 

As the Team Leader Ranger Services, you will be instrumental in supporting the Manager of Ranger and Parking Services with departmental operations. You will also play a vital role in developing and implementing policies and procedures that align with community expectations and Council decisions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Operational Planning: Effectively plan, implement, coordinate, and report on Ranger Services operations to meet performance objectives within statutory requirements.
  • Training and Development: Design and implement training strategies to enhance staff skills and knowledge, ensuring continuous improvement in performance standards.
  • Service Excellence: Ensure all service requests and infringement representations are addressed promptly and to a high standard, adhering to Council policies and statutory responsibilities.
  • Representation: Act as an expert representative for the Council on relevant legislation and Ranger Services management strategies in interactions with various internal and external groups.
  • Team Leadership: Guide and mentor team members to foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

Span of hours for operations of the department are spread over 7 days from 5.00 am to midnight. Work outside standard hours may be required from time to time.

Salary from: $113,875 to $135,977 pa + 11.5% superannuation + tool-of-trade vehicle (leaseback fee does apply)

35 hours per week with access to flexi time
