We are looking for a Waste Services Operative to work in the street sweeping team on the afternoon shift Tuesday to Fridaylocated at Councils Operation Centre. This section of Council is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the streets and high use public areas throughout the Liverpool Local Government area in a timely and cost-effective manner. It is highly desirable that you have experience in operating Street Sweepers and associated waste services.

You will have demonstrated experience working as part of a team and knowledge of Work, Health and Safety (WHS) practices, the principles of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), ethical practice and multicultural diversity. Manual handling skills are also required, and the successful applicant must have a flexible attitude towards responsibilities and hours of work.


Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate their competency in the following essential areas:

  •       HR Drivers Licence
  •       General Construction WHS (White Card)
  •       Implement Traffic control and Implement Traffic control plans tickets (or in the process of obtaining them)
  •       Demonstrated truck driving experience.
  •       Experience in waste removal.
  •       Experience in the operation of Street sweepers.
