Council is seeking applications for a Treatment Plant Operator to be responsible for the operation of the Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants. These duties include operating, monitoring and maintaining the facilities and plant used in the production and maintenance of a safe and acceptable water supply and wastewater licence discharge requirements.

About the role:

In addition to the duties above, the Treatment Plant Operator ensures that processes are frequently monitored, chemicals and dosing are kept up and treatment equipment adjusted as necessary. The Treatment Plant Operator will be required to collect relevant Water and Wastewater samples to meet regulatory requirements, as directed by relevant Council officers.

This position involves an on-call roster system for any after-hours requirements under the Operators control, including prompt response to ensure discharge and consumption parameters are not compromised.

The gross annual wage for this position is to a ceiling of Level 8 ($76,025pa) exclusive of applicable allowances and overtime.
