Permanent Full Time
Salary: $90,623 to $101,416 per annum (based on 70 hours per fortnight), plus superannuation and a 9 day fortnight and a leaseback vehicle
Appointed salary in this range will be based on skills, qualifications, and experience.

About us
Hornsby Shire is located on Sydney's upper north shore, approximately 25 kilometres north of the CBD. Known as the ‘Bushland Shire’, our local government area is characterised by bushland comprising national park, major waterways, natural reserves and rural landscape. The rest of the Shire combines urban, rural and open spaces.
About the role
In your new role you will possess strong sales experience, with the ability to follow up on sales leads and also directly undertake cold calling and feet on the street activities to close sales opportunities to grow the business. A team of waste professionals support and assist this role with administrative, communications and marketing expertise, backed by an inhouse customer call center team.

About you
The Commercial Waste Services Officer position requires an individual with experience in the management of waste related contracts and services in a local government context or a demonstrated ability to rapidly acquire these skills. Significant experience in managing all aspects of providing commercial waste services to local businesses while maintaining required profit margins and actively seeking opportunities to grow and develop the business.
In your new role you will be highly capable in marketing and promoting services, feet on the street business canvasing and liaison to sell waste services and maintain client relationships. Your new role will require you to work in a fast paced and demanding work environment and to achieve results and outcomes in a supportive team environment.
