About The Role:

We are seeking a passionate and motivated individual to join our team. In this position you will be responsible for undertaking a range of activities in order to facilitate compliance with a number of Acts and Council By-laws, maintaining the safety of our community and the amenity of our City. 

About You:

If you:

  • Have comprehensive knowledge and experience administering legislation relating to Local Government, including but not limited to the Local Government Act, Dog and Cat Management Act, Australian Road Rules, Local Nuisance and Litter Control Act and Council By-laws, or demonstrated practical experience working with and interpreting legislation.
  • Are solutions orientated, highly self-motivated and passionate about delivering a great customer experience.
  • Have well-developed time management skills with the ability to use initiative, work autonomously and effectively prioritise tasks in a busy work environment.
  • Have experience in developing high quality correspondence, including statement taking, officer reports, letters and statutory notices.
  • Have demonstrated experience working in a team environment and contributing to a high performing team culture.  
  • Hold a Current C Class Drivers Licence.
  • Have a passion, care, and commitment to educating our community.

About Our Team:

The Community Health and Safety Team is focused on adopting a proactive and contemporary approach to effectively deliver a broad range of regulatory related activities while ensuring a positive customer experience. Actively engaged within the community, the team builds strong relationships with key stakeholders and customers by offering accurate information and guidance to support compliance with legislative requirements.

The Detail:

The position is offered on a full-time, 12 month fixed-term basis and is classified at Level 4, with a salary range of $92,105 to $98,608 per annum + Super + Annual Leave Loading.

A current unprohibited Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (Police check) must be maintained for the duration of the employment period in this prescribed position.
