Band 6 - Salary Range $92,304 to $100,516 per annum + 11% Super + ADO

The Opportunity

Reporting to the PMO Lead, Capital Delivery, this role supports an important part of councils Portfolio Capital Delivery Program ($100m+ Total per annum). 

As the PMO Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in contributing to the management of the Capital Delivery project portfolio of council. Working closely with the Senior Portfolio Leads and PMO Lead, you will be responsible to provide chairing Project Working Groups (PWG) and Project Control Group (PCG) meeting whilst providing details financial and reporting for the capital deliver program. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide and support the adherence to Melton City Council’s Project Management Framework, ensuring continuous improvement in project governance.
  • Evaluate the prioritisation of initiatives and program and portfolio development.
  • Collaborate across the Melton City Council to monitor and report the performance of the portfolio of programs and projects, identifying opportunities to optimise portfolio outcomes.
  • Organise and facilitate various workshops, across Melton City Council including Post Implementation Reviews and Risk Workshops.
  • Coordinate PMO reporting and analysis, identifying common themes and opportunities for continuous improvements.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have the following:

  • Tertiary education with relevant degree and several years of subsequent relevant experience, alternatively lesser formal qualifications with extensive relevant experience in project management.
  • Extensive experience in project management including developing frameworks, understanding methodologies and good governance.
  • Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgment and subtlety.
  • Pro-active mind-set with best results for customer in mind. Demonstrated understanding of the importance of confidentiality of organisational, financial and staff information.
  • Exceptional analysis skills, with the ability to manipulate and analyse data.
