Council has an exciting opportunity to join our Urban Infrastructure team as the temporary Project Support Coordinator until 31 July 2026.
Based in the Cudal Office. this two-year temporary position will be responsible for the administration, oversight, and support of project delivery for a range of urban infrastructure projects.

The position operates over a 35-hour week with a 9-day fortnight.

Position Activities
Project Management
· Provide administration of projects in accordance with Council’s Project Management Framework and as determined in consultation with the Urban Infrastructure leadership team.
· Assist in the identification and risk management strategies associated with projects.
· Work closely with and support the Department Leader and Coordinators within the Urban Infrastructure Department with project delivery responsibility including effective planning, approvals, research, feasibility analysis, financial control, procurement, community consultation, contractor management, marketing, delivery and disposal, risk management in line with Council’s policies, procedures, and strategic direction.
· Monitor the budgetary management and control relating to each project and provide timely reports to prevent over/under expenditure.
· Maintain a master plan based on key milestones and financial update for all projects and provide status reports to the Project Control Group.
· Analyse project variation requests to ensure projects are delivered within the timeframes and budgets and project interdependencies are managed.
· Ensure the safety, quality and environmental aspects of projects are identified and addressed to maintain effective project delivery.
· Demonstrate innovation and deliver high quality project outcomes.
· Identify, build, and maintain relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Reporting, Compliance & Administration
· Work with the Infrastructure Accountant in preparation of financial asset data and reports.
· Comply with the use of a range of corporate systems including records management, risk management, customer service request, and financial.
· Work cooperatively with staff from across all departments and ensure timely communication and information.
Work Health & Safety
· Comply with Council’s WHS Policy and procedures including applicable SWMSs, SOPs, project/event safety management plans.
What Do You Need to Be Successful
Essential
· Project Management qualifications and/OR
· 3yrs+ project management experience within the construction industry or local government.
· Construction Induction Certification (White Card).
· Class C driver’s license.
Desirable
· Computer aided design software qualification e.g. AutoCAD.
Skills & Experience
Contract, procurement and tender management skills and experience.
