The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Wastewater Treatment Engineer to join our team at Council.
Lead and participate in a team that undertakes the operation, inspection, maintenance and renewal works associated with the sewage treatment infrastructure.
Ensures the treatment process, activities and final effluent comply with regulatory licence conditions and all the associated facilities are operated and maintained efficiently and in a safe manner.

Essential Criteria
1. Degree Qualification in Engineering or Science field, with 5 years minimum experience within Wastewater Treatment Plants
2. Proven ability in the development, monitoring and management of financial budgets and reporting.
3. Well-developed analytical skills
4. Management and development of staff to meet competency levels for compliance with best practice and regulatory requirements
5. Demonstrated ability in the use of computer applications with extensive experience in the use of SCADA and Telemetry Systems, and operating devices effectively, embracing digital solutions for works activities to enable field productivity and scheduling based systems to facilitate day- to-day operations.
6. Ability to network clearly and effectively with key stakeholders in offering specialised technical advice and support to deliver treatment services.
7. Demonstrated ability in leading teams, providing effective communication, driving performance and fostering a positive working culture.
8. Hold a C Class Drivers Licence and WHS Induction Card.
